Privacy Policy — ChartCodex

Nuve Studios LLC ("we," "us") built ChartCodex to respect your privacy. This policy explains what we handle, which is almost nothing. ChartCodex has no user accounts, no login, and never connects to the internet.

Section 1

Your charts

Your charts stay on your device. Songs, setlists, notes and MIDI settings are written to the app's own Documents folder on your iPhone or iPad. They are included in your normal device backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), which you control in iOS Settings.
We never receive them. ChartCodex has no server. A chart leaves your device only when you choose to share or export it yourself, through iOS's own share sheet, Files or AirDrop.
Shared files (.chartcodex) contain the song or setlist only. Your MIDI device settings are never included.

Section 2

MIDI

ChartCodex sends MIDI messages to devices you connect by USB, Bluetooth MIDI or a Network MIDI session, and listens for the foot-switch messages you map. Those messages are musical control data (program changes, control changes, clock) and contain no personal information. Network MIDI uses your local network to reach sessions you have set up in iOS; nothing is sent to any server.

Section 3

What we collect

Nothing. No analytics, no crash reporter, no advertising, no in-app purchases, no email capture. The app writes standard system logs that stay on your device.

What we do NOT do

No advertising. ChartCodex shows no ads.
No third-party tracking or data brokers. We do not track you across apps or sell data, and do not build a profile linked to your identity.
No third-party code runs inside the app.

Section 5

Third parties

Apple — app distribution and payment, if the app is purchased (see Apple's privacy policy).

Section 6

Your choices

Export your library at any time from Settings → Export library.
Deleting the app removes its local data, including your charts. Export anything you want to keep first.

Section 7

Children

ChartCodex is rated 4+ and is not directed at collecting personal data from children. We do not knowingly collect personal information.
