These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Chords Live app and website (the "Service"), provided by Nuve Studios LLC ("we," "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. Chords Live is distributed through the Apple App Store and is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
Section 1
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Chords Live on Apple devices you own or control, for your own music-making and performances, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, its sounds or other bundled content except as allowed by law.
Section 2
Chords Live has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Any purchase of the app itself is processed by Apple under Apple's terms; refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Prices may vary by region and may change; a change never affects a purchase you have already made.
Section 3
The built-in sounds (Upright Piano, Midnight EP and the pads) are owned by Nuve Studios LLC. You may use them freely in your live performances and in recordings you make with the app. You may not extract, resell or redistribute them as sounds or sample libraries.
Section 4
Chords Live plays audio through your device and can send MIDI to apps and devices you connect. You are responsible for what that audio and those messages do on your equipment and in your monitors: set safe levels and rehearse before relying on it at a performance. AUv3 instruments you load are provided by their own developers under their own terms; we are not responsible for how they behave.
Section 5
Don't use the Service unlawfully, attempt to disrupt or breach it, or infringe others' rights. You are responsible for having the rights to any song you chart, play or share.
Section 6
Your songs, set lists and settings are yours. We claim no ownership of them and no license to use them. Because they are stored on your device rather than on our servers, keeping copies of work you want to preserve is your responsibility. Deleting the app deletes its local data.
Section 7
Chords Live, its name, logo, sounds and software are owned by Nuve Studios LLC or its licensors and protected by law.
Section 8
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nuve Studios LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including a missed or wrong chord at a performance, or loss of songs. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that cannot be excluded.
Section 9
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use means acceptance.
Section 10
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
